What is Authentic-Community.org?
As the pace of life and disruption in our culture continues to accelerate, people thirst more than ever for authentic connection, relationships, and community. Simultaneously, “authenticity” is becoming more and more of a buzzword in our culture, until the concept is becoming a caricature of itself in pop culture.
What do we mean by the word “authenticity”? We define authenticity as “being true to what is so for you for the purpose of creating connection and value with another.” In a culture that is wholly bent on promoting image as the key to life and success, the principles, disciplines and practices of living authentically with others are needed more than ever.
We believe that God is the prime mover and author of authentic living. And, we believe that Jesus came to earth to unfold the possibility of authenticity in an entirely new way. We believe that his message is inclusive, not exclusive, radical, and rarely considered or applied. Our commitment is to provide learning tools and vehicles to introduce participants to a deeper experience of God, themselves, and others in authentic connection.
